The Youth Groups from Blessed Trinity
at the St. Margaret Mary's site sponsored a sock and underwear collection
to help Nearly New in Binghamton. More than 75 packages were
collected from the Religious Education classes, parishioners, and other
sites.

Amanda Lauback of Owego has been named
to the Dean's List of Academic Achievement for the Winter 2008 Term at
Elmira College.
Angela Zeccola Poole, daughter of Anthony
Poole and Rosemarie Zeccola of Apalachin, received the Outstanding Student
in Biology Award at the Annual Honors Night Celebration at Berry College
in Mount Berry, GA.
Michelle Murphy, a resident of Apalachin
and a freshmen e-business major at Clarkson University, has been awarded
the Ilse J. Shaw School of Business Freshmen Award, given each year to
a School of Business freshman who has demonstrated outstanding scholastic
ability. Murphy will receive a cash award.
Visit the Artful Berry Exhibit at the Tioga
County Historical Museum now through June 30, 2008. The exhibit will
take place in the downstairs hallway of the museum which is at 110 Front
St. in Owego.
The 2008 Tioga County Visitor's Guide is
now available. The full-color, 30-page guide is free and can be picked
up at the Tourism Office, 80 North Avenue in Owego, or at several brochure
racks around the county.
