Local Woman Honored in Albany

Rose Garrity, Executive Director of A New Hope Center in Owego, was among thirty leaders honored in Albany on April 29 at a reception and dinner during the 30th Anniversary Conference of the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Frances Leavenworth, president of the board of A New Hope Center, also attended the reception. Ms. Leavenworth said "This is a well-deserved honor after many years of service, locally, in the New York State Coalition and in the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Rose is a recognized leader across the country."
