Home Textile Museum Opens May 31

The Home Textile Tool Museum in Orwell, PA (SR1036) will open for its ninth season May 31, followed by Youth Day June 7. Both Saturdays will include a wide array of demonstrations and new displays. The museum is open 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, rain or shine. Admission $5, no charge for children under 12. This year's season has been expanded through September 27 plus more private tours.
Opening Day will include the 11:00 am dedication of a bench in honor of Carlyle (Bub) Russell, a founding HTTM Board Member deceased 2007. Demonstrations and hands on activities include: Quilting by Joann Nolt, Wool Fiber preparation with Combs by Larryssa, Natural Dyeing with Esther Welden, Blacksmithing by Richard Swenson, Flax by Pam Mawhiney, Weaving, Spinning, Children's Area activities.
