Any and all Little League Baseball and Softball Managers and Coaches are eligible to access any of the information in this Resource Center at any time. The site is packed with video clips and articles ranging from the role of the coach to Practice Planning Guidelines to how to field a ground ball. Here are some other categories on the site: Season Planning, Parental Involvement, Rules of the Game, Teaching the Skills, Drills and Activities, Planning a Practice, Safety and Conditioning and Managing on Game Day. OLL - Volunteer umpires to be trained by Umpire in Chief Jim Medovich. Call him on 754-6319. Volunteers needed for Work Bee Saturdays April 19 and 26. Other volunteer opportunities include field maintenance, team mom, operators for two Scoreboards play National Anthem and Little League pledge weeknights at 6 p.m.,50/50 ticket sellers, concession stand duties, coaching, and Education Training Coordinator for managers and players. Opening Day Ceremonies on Nick Raftis Memorial Field. Full day of baseball, tee-ball and softball games. Five games each at starting times of 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Picture Days
New location: Owego Free Academy parking lot. Reason: avoid the AMBA blood screening crowd at Owego Elementary. Picture Day for Teener League is Thursday, May 31. Pitch Count Program To protect the arms of young players, and in keeping with Little League regulations regarding baseball, OLL has as Pitch Count Program. This defines the amount of rest needed based on the number of actual pitches thrown.
