Tioga County Heritage Mural Collection

Tioga County Heritage Mural Collection - the mural pictured above can be found on the north side of the HSBC Bank building on Lake Street in Owego. The mural, which measures 12' by 7', depicts noted, prominent, and historic figures that shaped Tioga County. Represented in the mural are John Mason Parker (1805-1873), Lyman Park Truman (1806-1881), Frank M. Baker (1846-1916), Ole Joe DeWitt (1814-1876), John J. Taylor (1808-1892), Belva A. Lockwood (1830-1917), Charles Parker (son of John) (1836-1909), and Rev. Washington Gladden (1836-1918). The mural was painted by Ruth Harasta of Johnson City and Nancy Ryan of Vestal.
