In acknowledgement of March as Women's History Month, the Owego Business and Professional Women (BPW) last month presented Patricia Yoder-Clark (pictured at right) in a monologue of Belva Lockwood at the Tioga County Historical Society Museum in Owego. Belva Lockwood, who lived and taught school in Owego in the 1860s, was the first woman to practice law before the U.S. Supreme Court, and in 1884 was the first woman to officially run for President of United States. After the presentation, there was a discussion and refreshments were served.
