Councilman's Rigatoni Dinner

Town of Owego Councilman Donald Castellucci's 10th Annual Rigatoni and Meatball Dinner was held on February 9 at the Owego Elks Club.

A record 135 people attended the event where they enjoyed good food and music, and listened to speakers.

Music and vocals were provided by Bill Nanni; Claire Valletta sang The Star Spangled Banner, Dan Cucci sang Proud to be an American, and Lisa Il Grande sang God Bless America.

Castellucci's daughter, Lauren, lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Janet Brown gave the invocation.

Village of Owego Mayor John Loftus introduced Donald Castellucci, Jr. and his children, Donald III, 15, and Lauren, 12, all of whom spoke at the dinner.

The event's guest speaker was  Congressional Candidate George Phillips, who
was introduced by his father. Phillips, a high school teacher and professor at BCC, is seeking the Republican nomination for New York's 22nd Congressional District.

Mr. Phillips was endorsed not only by Councilman Castellucci, but also by his son, Donald III, who said "Mr. Phillips is one of the best role models we have at Seton Catholic Central."

Castellucci thanked everyone for their continued support and friendship. He looks forward to next year's 11th Annual Rigatoni Dinner.
