4-H Draft Horse Club
A new Tioga County 4-H Draft Horse club is forming in Apalachin. The club is open to youth that are nine years old, as of January 1, 2008, to 19 years old. Club members will learn about draft horses, their care, and how to harness and drive draft horses. Members will have the opportunity to participate in other 4-H horse projects and to show the horses. Members do not need to own their own horses to participate. Club membership is limited to ten members. The first meeting is Tuesday, February 19 at 6:00 p.m. Enrollment forms are available in the 4-H Office, 56 Main Street in Owego. Contact the 4-H Office for more details. 4-H is a community of young people across
America learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. Open to
all youth five to 19 years of age, 4-H utilizes a real-life work experience
where the individual sets his/her own goals for achievement. To learn
