Three scouts from Newark Valley Troop 30, Justin Cole, Matthew Gac and Aaron Holden, held a joint Eagle Court of Honor at the Newark Valley United Methodist Church on October 13, 2007. All three young men are graduates of Newark Valley High School.

 Justin Cole's Eagle Project was the cleaning, organizing, and building of shelves and racks for the athletic department in two bays of the Newark Valley High School storage shed.  Because of his efforts, more equipment was able to be stored inside under cover. Justin is now in his second year at Elmira College majoring in Education.  He is the son of Debbie and David Cole of Berkshire.
 
Matthew Gac's Eagle Project was the construction of a barbeque pit for the Newark Valley United Methodist Church. The project included removing fallen trees and brush, raising the ground level, and constructing the pit with a concrete foundation and concrete block walls. Matthew is now in his second year at the University at Buffalo (SUNY) majoring in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering.  He is the son of Suzanne and Victor Gac of Newark Valley.
 
Aaron Holden's Eagle Project was the total reconstruction of three sets of visitor bleachers at the football field at the Newark Valley High School. In this reconstruction, he replaced bent steel, added new supports, replaced all wood, and painted all parts. Aaron is in his first year at Tompkins-Cortland Community College majoring in Computer Information Systems.  He is the son of Carol and Claron Holden of Newark Valley.
