Miss Apalachin Contest
This year's Little Miss Apalachin Contest will be held on Saturday, June 9, during the Apalachin Firemen's Field Days. The contest is open to 8- and 9-year-old girls residing within the Apalachin Fire District. All contestants must pre-register. The girls will be judged on appearance, personality, and communication skills. Contestants will participate in a brief casual conversation with the Master of Ceremonies while standing on the elevated platform on stage. The winner will receive a $200 Savings Bond, a tiara, sash, floral bouquet, and trophy. The runner-up will receive a $100 Savings Bond, a floral bouquet, and trophy. All participants will receive a flower. The contest will start at 12:00 Noon in the food tent on the field day grounds. Contestants will check in at the stage area between 11:30 and 11:45 am. The contest will last about one hour. Pre-registration forms (see below) are required to be filled out for each contestant.
