• Community Service
Campville members want to take this opportunity
to thank Dave Sabol, Dave Barton, Max Inhoff, Joe Heiland, Kevin Kania
and Kevin Goodman for the great job they did cleaning up Station 1. These
are 7th grade students from JF Snapp Middle School who cleaned the station
floors under the supervision of Bernie Sabol on Thursday, April 12, and
Sunday, April 14, as part of their community service. They did a great
job.
• Pancake Breakfast
We want to thank all our neighbors and
friends who joined us for our semi-annual pancake breakfast. The
squad had a table set up for free blood pressure screening, our equipment
was on display for everyone to see, we had some new members sign up and
it turned out to be a successful day for all.
• Training
John and Pat Hickey completed the NYS Fireman's
Association workshop on Every NY Responder Goes Home that was held at the
Apalachin Elementary School. The course enabled them to present the department
with free training DVD's and materials which complies with the requirements
of the NYS Dept of Labor/PESH for training purposes.
Our squad members, Pat Hickey, Rosemary
Kotski, Ed Kotski, Karen Hatch and Ruthann Phelps, attended the UHS
trauma training day at the Binghamton Regency. We extend thanks to these
members for giving up a Saturday to keep updated on EMS education.
• Equipment
Campville Fire Department TOFD took delivery
of a Allmand portable light tower. It will be unit 345 and stationed at
Campville Station 1.
The week beginning May 20 is EMS week.
Let's take a few moments to thank our volunteers for their dedicated service
to the community.
• Sick Call
Keep Grace and Ron Ford in your thoughts
and prayers.
