Car Keys

Everyone at some point and time has a bad day. It could be because of something that happens at work or an argument at home or whatever. Just something that makes your day less enjoyable. Let me give you an example. I went to bed a bit early one weeknight so I could catch up on my sleep. After about an hour I woke up and looked at the clock. I tried to fall back asleep. Soon I woke up again tangled up in the blankets. I looked at the clock again. I re-adjusted the bed and tried to fall asleep again.

After about an hour I woke up to go to the bathroom. I went back to bed. Darn! Now I'm thirsty! I got up to get a drink and went back to bed. I cant fall asleep.

Finally I just said to heck with it and got up and watched TV for a while. I finally fell asleep and it seemed like only minutes and it was time to get up. I staggered to the shower only to find the water lukewarm because my hot water heater did not turn on yet. I forgot to reset the timer for daylight savings time. I took my cold shower and got dressed. I choked down a stale bagel and headed out the door for work.

I noticed the car I had wanted to drive to work had a soft tire. Not wanting to mess with it at 4:00 am, I decided to take the other car. I got in and noticed that it's almost out of gas. I went to the gas station and put a few bucks worth in to get me to work.

I started down the highway and realized I had left the company cell phone at home. I turned around and headed back home to get it. I finally drive to my job thinking the day was going to get better. I stopped to get the newspaper. I like to glance through it to see if anyone else was having a bad day. I also check the obituaries to see if I'm in there. I wasn't, so something is going my way.

I arrived at work and started my daily routine. As soon as I got out on the road I was feeling better, but after not getting a good night's sleep, the little things were annoying me. Another driver in an SUV thought I wasn't going fast enough so they passed me and cut me off. I was hoping they would stop somewhere up the road so I could get out and ask them if I could have permission to drive on the road they thought they owned.

After making a few fuel oil deliveries I noticed an unpleasant odor in my truck. After some investigating I found a fresh clump of doggy doo-doo stuck to my shoes. It took a few more stops and walking through lots of grass to get rid of it. With the exception of a few more maniacs on the road, I finished the day with no major problems.

When I finally got home, I stopped at the mailbox and got my stack of bills. No surprise checks, no good magazines, no good news of any kind. Just bills. However I did get a credit card offer with a 23% APR. And I was pre-approved! I feel so blessed.

Walking past my other car I noticed my tire was completely flat.
I unlocked the door, threw the mail on the table, and headed for my easy chair. AAAHHHHHH!  Now you may ask, "What does this article have to do with cars?"

NOT A THING! I just feel defiant today. Have a nice tomorrow.
