First Annual Quilt Show to feature "History in Miniature"

The Tioga County Historical Society invites quilt entries for its First Annual Quilt Show and Sale, "History in Miniature."

The quilt entries are limited to miniature quilts, which are scaled down versions of full size quilt. The perimeter must not exceed 100 inches or blocks exceed four inches.

The entries must be ready for hanging. All entries should include the pattern title and short history of the pattern if known. This information will be used in the display.

Each entry must be labeled and provide name, telephone number, and  address.

Participants must notify the historical society of an intent to submit by April 25, and quilts must be at the museum by May 19, 2007. The quilt show will be from May 25 through July 31, 2007.

You may offer your quilt in a silent auction to benefit both you and the museum (commission charged) or your donation of a mini quilt to benefit the museum would be appreciated. Neither is required.

For more information, call 687-2460 or visit  www.tiogahistory.org.
