Volunteers Needed for Lions Clean Up Day - October 14 The Apalachin Lions Semi- Annual Route 434 Clean Up Day in Apalachin will be held on Saturday, October 14, beginning at 9:00 am. The clean up crew will meet at Beam Electronics at the corner of Route 434 and Cross Street in Apalachin. Hard hats, reflective vests, and trash bags will be provided for the task of litter removal on a three-mile stretch of roadway. The Apalachin Lions are in special need of volunteers due to the area in question was part of this June's flooding and the amount of trash is expected to be above normal.
