Hands that Help, Hearts that Remember
Group Plans Day of Community Service to Commemorate 9/11

In keeping with their goal of service to the community, the Tioga County Women's Democratic Club will commemorate September 11th by reaching out to help others. All volunteers are welcome, regardless of
affiliation. The Democratic Women's Club believes that by giving back to their friends and neighbors, they will strengthen family values in our community.

Starting at 9:00 am, volunteers will assemble at Tioga County Democratic Headquarters, 81 North Avenue in Owego, where work assignments will be distributed, along with complimentary coffee.

Volunteers will go out into the community and assist the elderly with yard work and household tasks for the day. As a token of appreciation, complimentary morning coffee and lunch at midday will be provided for our volunteers. Please bring sponges, bucket and/or garden tools and dress appropriately.

To register for lunch or for more information, call: (607) 625 - 2236, Miriam Benson, Event Coordinator.
