Gardening Classes Offered
The Master Gardeners of Cornell Cooperative Extension, Tioga County,
a group of volunteers dedicated to sharing good horticultural knowledge
with the public, is offering some exciting new classes.
• Fall Bulb Planting & Storage
September 13, Wednesday, 6-8 pm
You'll see a slide show of unusual fall bulbs and learn what
should be pulled up and how to store bulbs and tubers over the winter.
Take home great information on bulbs and bulb storage. This cost is $3.00.
The class will be at the Legislative Conference Room at the County Office
Building at 56 Main Street in Owego.
• Put Your Garden Beds to Bed
October 11, Wednesday, 6:30 pm
Learn the best techniques to ensure the survival of sensitive
perennials and have a head start on the spring gardening season. Learn
what perennials and shrubs that should be cut back and what should be left
alone. Cost is $3.00. The class will be in the auditorium at the County
Office
Building at 56 Main Street in Owego, with some outdoor demonstrations
weather permitting.
