Cinema@Ti-Ahwaga Starts 2nd Season

 Cinema@Ti-Ahwaga kicks off its second season of programs with a selection of films from the American Museum of Natural History's Margaret Mead Traveling Film & Video Festival. The event will take place Saturday, September 30, with a wine and cheese reception beginning at 7:00 pm, followed by the film program at 7:30 pm. Festival Director Kathy Brew will lead a discussion following the program.

 Tickets are $15.00 and can be purchased by contacting the Ti-Ahwaga Performing Arts Center (TPAC) at 607-687-2130.  

 The screenings will take place in the Ti-Ahwaga Performing Arts Center, 42 Delphine Street, Owego,  newly equipped with a state of the art video projection system. TPAC is a modern, cabaret-style theater which seats 156 people individual tables for two and four. Snacks and beverages including beer & wine are available from the concession. 

 The Margaret Mead Film & Video Festival is the longest-running showcase for international documentaries in the United States, encompassing a broad spectrum of work, from indigenous community media to experimental nonfiction. The Festival was founded by the American Museum of Natural History in 1977, in honor of pioneering anthropologist Margaret Mead on her seventy-fifth birthday and her fiftieth year at the Museum.
