•  Help to Flood Victims
 Seven homes of Owego Little League (OLL) families were destroyed by flood waters. OLL is donating 50-50 money to flood victims from the 11th OLL Tournament games. OLL volunteers also helped flooded families. 

• Workbee August 19
 OLL President Ken Winters plans a Workbee for Saturday, August 19, to prepare Hyde Park's five fields and grounds for the Labor Day weekend New York State Little League U13 Baseball Tournament. 

•NYS Moose All Star Baseball Tournament
 Final games in the 54th New York State Moose Association age 10-13 All Star Baseball Tournament will be played at Hyde Park over the Labor Day weekend, September 2, 3, and 4. 

 New York State Moose Baseball Chairman Bud Babcock of Athens says the tourney will be co-hosted by Owego Moose Lodge 1595 and Women's Chapter 280 supported by the Owego Little League infrastructure. 

  Past Governor and Owego Moose Sports Chairman Gene Hulbert announces the Labor Day weekend schedule of events at Hyde Park as follows: 

  Saturday, September 2, and Sunday, September 3 game times are 10:00 a.m, 12 Noon, and 2:00 pm. On Saturday only, the Moose will have a chicken barbeque at the tournament from 11:00 am to 3 pm. 

 Monday, September 4, Semi final games are at 10:00 am. Finals are at 12:00 Noon. Trophy presentation by the NYS Moose Committee at the Moose Lodge following a Swiss steak dinner at 2:30 pm.

 Owego Moose Governor Chuck Talcott asks that Owego area families do what they do best - find a special way to show hospitality and welcome to the 200-plus visitors to our community over the Labor Day weekend. 

• Tioga United Way Kickoff at Hyde Park 
 Tioga United Way has selected Hyde Park for its 2007 Kickoff Wednesday, September 3.
