Experts Offer Home Repair Tips

FEMA mitigation experts will be at 84 Lumber on Route 434 in Owego to talk to flood victims about how to build and retrofit homes and businesses to reduce property damage from floods. Experts will also distribute written materials about "flood-defensive" repair solutions.

There will also be two more self-service information centers where people can pick-up a variety of publications about simple, low-cost repair and retrofitting solutions that may reduce damage and loss should another flood occur. There is also information about the National Flood Insurance Program.

There will be several classes held daily from August 9 through 14 from 9:00 am until 7:30 pm.
