Senator Hillary Clinton 
Attends Luncheon in Owego

 Senator Hillary Clinton attended a fund raising luncheon for the Tioga County Democratic Committee on  June 12 at the Owego Treadway Inn.  Sen. Clinton spoke about New York's economy and government's responsibility to meet the public's needs such as security, education, health care, and better employment for all.

 The Senator's speech was well-received by the 250 people in attendance. The audience frequently applauded her remarks, and gave her a standing ovation.  

 Congressman Maurice Hinchey also spoke at the luncheon, as did  Mark Trabucco, who announced his candidacy for the 52nd New York State Senate seat. 

 Senator Clinton gave a strong endorsement to Trabucco and other candidates at the luncheon including Eric Maasa, running for the 29th Congressional District, Elizabeth Garry, running for the 6th Judicial District in the State of New York, and Ed Arrington, candidate for Owego Town Council. Clinton also endorsed Attorney General Eliot Spitzer's campaign for Governor of New York.

 After the speeches, Senator Clinton moved through the crowd,  speaking with attendees, posing for photographs, and signing autographs.

  Senator Clinton and Congressman Hinchey were in town to attend the ribbon cutting at Lockheed Martin's new Presidential Helicopter facility .
