Tioga Journeys Bus Tours The Tioga County Tourism Office, in cooperation with the Historical Society, is offering Tioga Journeys, an opportunity for visitors and residents to experience and tour Tioga County like you've never done before. Each tour will be led by a knowledgeable step-on tour guide that will take you to intriguing places. All tours begin at 10:00 am each Saturday and leave from the front
of the Tioga County Historical Museum, 110 Front Street in Owego.
• June 10 - A Collector's Fantasy Come True - An eclectic collection of fascinating items can be found on this historic estate. The Merrill Collection will amaze and astonish you. • June 24 - Back-Stage at Tioga Downs - Get a behind-the-scenes peek at the workings of this new racino and harness racetrack in Nichols. • July 8 - Big, Bold & Beautiful - visit of few of the county's biggest and best trees. • July 15 - A Horse of Another Size - Tour to Taylor's Horse farm. Learn about Shire horses. • July 22 - Fascinating Architecture of Historic Homes - this is walking tour. • July 29 - Guns & Cannonballs - Discover Tioga County's connection with the Civil War. Includes a trip to the cemetery. The cost per tour is $10 per person; $8 for senior citizens age 62+, made possible thanks to a grant from the Tioga County Senior Citizens? Foundation. Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-671-7772. Credit cards accepted. Walk-ons will be allowed on a space-available basis. Maximum of 20 people per bus. Reserve your space on five tours and your sixth one is free.
