26th Annual Strawberry Festival Parking is available at Hickories Park and Marvin Park. The downtown area will be closed to traffic from early morning through the conclusion of the festival. This includes lower North Avenue, the adjoining portion of Main Street, Lake Street, Church Street between Main and Front Street, and Front Street. Court Street will be closed for the hour-long parade, which begins at 10:00 am, and then will re-open. Park Street will remain open. The festival theme this year is "Strawberry Splash." The Parade Marshall will be Owego's Mayor, John Loftus. Major sponsors are Owego's Price Chopper and Crowley Foods. Entertainment will follow the parade at strategic points throughout the festival section of town. Displays and demonstrations by Tom Knight, Ross Park Zoo Mobile, Kids Craft Booth, and Waterman Conservation Center will delight young and old. The air will be filled with the sound of bands such as Naked Truth, Unfair Verona, Four Eye, Sweet Aroma, Garafolo Brothers, and Second Class Citizens, as they each perform throughout the festival day. New entertainment this year includes The Black Mountain Cloggers. There will also be a Nascar Display and Lourdes Hospitals Mission In Motion van along with a Live two-hour remote broadcast by MIX 103.3. You won't want to miss seeing Pooches on Parade dressed in their finest attire featured in our Festival Parade. Since the debut of the Owego Strawberry Festival 25 years ago, hundreds of thousands of people have been drawn to downtown Owego to experience the charm of this annual event. Come early and be ready for a full day of fun, food, entertainment, excitement, and strawberries, strawberries, strawberries!!
