Home Textile Tool Museum Opens

 The Home Textile Tool Museum in Orwell, Pa., opens for the season on May 27 with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 11:30 am to celebrate the opening of their Threshing Barn for the first time with new displays and new children's area. 

 Guest speakers will be Pennsylvania State Rep. Tina Pickett and Bob Veleker of Endless Mountains Heritage Region. There will be many demonstrations including Weaving, Spinning, Natural 
Dyeing, Quilting, Blacksmithing, Woodworking, Flax Processing, new Textile displays to include 19th century clothing and 18th and 19th century caps and bonnets. 

 The museum grounds open rain or shine at 10:00 am and close at 4:00 pm. A picnic area is available, no smoking, pets, or alcohol. Admission $3.00, and free for children 4 and younger.  

 The Home Textile Tool Museum is 13 miles from Route 17 (86) exit #62 at Nichols, NY. Follow NY Route 
282 South, PA 187 to SR1036 to Orwell, PA. or 12 miles from Wysox north on PA 187 to SR 1036 to Orwell, PA.
