Registration for Cheerleaders

Registration for the 2006-2007 season of the Tioga Youth Organization Cheerleaders will take place at the Tioga Central H.S. Cafeteria on May 25 and at the Village of Nichols Kirby Park Pavilion on June 6 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Form. Mail in registrations will be accepted until June 20.

The Tioga Youth Organization  Cheerleaders is a parent led not-for-profit organization for students within and around the Tioga Central School District. However, they are not affiliated or funded by the local school district. They support children from Kindergarten to 8th grade in the pursuit of sports by providing the education, skills, and means, to safely practice and perform cheerleading in various multiple venues.

Besides the various sports available for the local youth, most importantly, they promote character building, ethics, sports manners and community service. Last year the Cheerleaders collected over 300 stuffed animals for children in need. This year they have created a partnership with other youth organizations and are going to sponsor a Youth Safety Fair later this year with the proceeds to go to the
Shriners' Children Hospitals.

The Tioga Youth Organization Cheerleaders are looking for people to fill the vacancies left by some previous coaches who recently left due to other commitments. Coaches must be older than 21, assistant coaches must be older than 18.
