From the Apalachin Fire Dept.
Safety Information - Product Recalls

The NYS Office of Fire Prevention and Control (OFPC) regularly collects important safety information and passes that information on to us, as local emergency first responders. It may be news of products that have been recalled due to a safety hazard, such as a battery charger that may overheat and start a fire, or new products that change the way emergency responders have to react to common situations, as in the case of the new ethanol fuels, or vital information about a possible public health threat, like an influenza pandemic.

The Apalachin Fire Department. will be passing on this information to you in our monthly column. If you have questions, please feel free to stop in and talk to our on duty crew at Station #1, 230 Penn. Ave, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm daily, or during our drill time from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Wednesdays. We will have printouts available there. In the future, we hope to have links to the articles available on our web site, www.apalachinfd.com.
