Timber Sales 101 Are you thinking of selling timber from your land? If so, consider attending Timber Sales 101 on Wednesday, March 15, from 7:00 to 9:30 pm at the Stoll Natural Resource Center in Wysox. The Bradford-Sullivan Forest Landowners' Association has selected a panel of experts to present information on the harvesting and sale of timber. Information on How Timber is Measured and Valued, Why a Consulting Forester and a Management Plan are Good Ideas, Selecting a Buyer and Logger, Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Considerations, plus Contract and Tax Considerations will be provided in short informative talks. There will also be an opportunity for discussion and questions and answers from our experts. There will be coffee and cake for all. Most landowners harvest timber only a few times in their life and informed planning is critical. There is no charge and you do not have to be a member of the organization to attend.
