Plastic Bags Accepted for Recycling 

Tioga County Solid Waste has  announced an additional service to Tioga County's Curbside Recycling Program. They will now be accepting plastic bags through the Recycling Program. It is suggested that you make sure these bags are placed in a bag under heavier recycling items to avoid bags blowing out of your bin and littering the countryside.

 Once these plastic bags are collected they will be shipped to a plastic recycler where the bags will be reprocessed into small pellets that can be remanufactured into new items such as plastic bags and sheets, railroad ties, lawn edging products, and fence posts.
