• OLL Sign-Up Time
February 18 and 25
 It's free registration time for all Owego Little League programs--Tee-Ball, Baseball, ASA Girls Softball and Teener Baseball. There are two changes in this year's sign-up process—earlier Teener registration and a revision in the age determination date. 

 Tee Ball, Baseball. Softball and Teener Baseball - Saturday, February 18 and 25, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Tioga County Boys and Girls Club on Erie Street, Owego. 

 Any boy or girl whose parents/guardians live in the Owego Apalachin School District (OASD) can play. Teener Baseball accepts players outside the OASD.

 To play Tee Ball and Baseball, a child must be five years old before May 1, 2006, and cannot turn 13 before May 1, 2006.

 For ASA Girls Softball, a child must be eight before January 1, 2006, and can't turn 13 before January 1, 2006. 

 For Teener Baseball, a child must be 13 before May 1, 2006, and can't turn 17 before May 1, 2006. 

 A parent (preferably both parents) or legal guardian should come to the registration. First time sign-ups require an original or state certified copy of the child's birth record. It will be examined by the player agent and returned while registering.

•  Winter Softball Skills Clinics 
 Sign up your daughter by contacting Coach Mark Warfle 687-1586, mwarfle@ithaca.edu. Eligible are girls from 8 to 12 or girls who played last season and live in the OASD..

•  Information Meeting
 A League Information Meeting will take place on Thursday, March 2, at 7:00 pm at the Tioga County Office Building, 56 Main Street, Owego. This meeting is mandatory for those who want to manage/coach. 

•  Memorable Moments
 Your Memorable Moments in Owego Little League are welcomed in the 55th Year History. Write an "In Your Own Words" memory. E-mail to jraftis2@stny.rr.com.

 Recent contributors: Rich Ives on "The Helicopter Game" – first win for Mac Mufflers in the mid-70's followed by a helicopter ride for the players from the manager/helo pilot. Also, Air Force veteran Ron O'Connor writing from California on special memories of the 1970's starting with object lessons from a winless season in 1970.
