Geology Club Workshop, Meeting

 The New York Southern Tier Geology Club will have a workshop at 6:00 pm, a meeting at 7:00 pm, and a program after the meeting (approximately 8:00 pm) on Monday, February 13, 2006.

 There will be a video at 6:00 pm  on Cabochon Making. The video comes from the Eastern Federation of Mineralogical and Lapidary Societies Library.  It demonstrates cutting and polishing cabochons and the equipment used.

 After the meeting, at approximately 8:00 pm, Doug and Valerie McMartin will give a program on their Wildacres Trip. Wildacres is a retreat and workshop, where they learned about mineral identification, soapstone carving, and wirewrapping, while meeting others interested in geology and lapidary fields from around the country.

 The workshop, meeting, and program will be at the Johnson City Senior Center, 30 Brocton Ave, Johnson City.  These activities are free and everyone is welcome to join us.
