Owego Chef Publishes Cookbook
of Healthy Recipes That Taste Great
Good-for-you recipes that can be prepared quickly

 With Americans of all ages setting new records for obesity, the causes are largely being accredited to frequent consumption of fast food.  "People are so busy these days they feel they just don't have time to prepare a healthy home-made dinner," says Nick Cavataio of Owego.

 Cavataio, a gourmet chef with 24 years experience, recently published a new cookbook titled "Conquering Healthier Recipes and Beyond." It features "Over 300 Mouth-Watering, Delicious, Healthy Recipes That Give You Quick and Easy Preparation Time, With Step By Step Easy To Follow Directions."

 "I would just shake my head when I saw McDonalds and Burger King crammed with people who would be eating better if they just had the time.  The fact is, you can prepare wonderful, healthy, great-tasting dishes at home in very little time," Cavataio pointed out.

 The book includes a complete six-week menu cycle that keeps cooks
from ever running out of meal ideas.  Also included are tips for fast, effective cooking, how to let kids get involved, and tips for getting the best buys at grocery stores.

 A favorite for many readers are Cavataio's personal stories about experiences in the kitchen.  "Over the years I've had just about everything you imagine go right and wrong.  These are stories a lot of people can really relate to," he said.

 Parents everywhere are remembering how many of their childhood memories have to do with the kitchen. These parents are determined to create cooking memories with their own children. The cookbook has been especially helpful in making a robust and healthy cooking experience possible for many busy families.

 The cookbook is available on line at www.conquering healthierrecipes.com  or at the following locations: Lotta Latte Café, 12 South Main Street, Newark Valley; To Your Health (health food store), 1921 Rt.17C, Owego; John's Find Foods, 88 North Ave., Owego; Fuddy Duddy's Fudge Factory, Cedar Court Gifts, 6526 Rt 434, Sweeney's Plaza, Apalachin;

 Nick Cavataio will be available for book signings at the Owego Price Chopper on Saturday, February 18, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm.
