Boys & Girls Club to hold Annual Dinner & Auction

The Tioga County Boys & Girls Club will host their 9th Annual Dinner Auction at the Owego Elks Auditorium at the corner of Front and Church Streets in Owego on March 11.

Chef Chris Whitmore, Culinary Institute of America and Chef Lee Dunham from An Affair to Remember Catering have once again selected an exceptional menu for your dining pleasure.  Specially selected wines will be served with each course to further enhance your dining experience. This year, the five-course meal is again outstanding from Starter Course to Desert.  A medley of cheeses with fresh fruits will be served. Rack of Lamb encrusted with Roasted Hazelnut Breading and a Port Wine Sauce is your appetizer, followed by Lobster salad with Avocados, Cherry Tomatoes with Basil Vinaigrette.

The main course will be Filet of Salmon with Tarragon Bier Blanc Sauce.

The dinner concludes with Chocolate Cake with Amaretto Grenache and Chocolate Icing.

A Silent Auction will run throughout the evening. Following dinner there will be a Live Auction and  guests will be invited to bid on the 25 to 30 items.

Funds raised from this event help support the many programs and activities
provided by the Tioga County Boys & Girls Club throughout the year. This dinner auction has become our premier fund raising event and is always an enjoyable evening in support of "the Positive Place for Kids."

 Activities start at 6:00 pm.

Tickets for this adult only event are $50 per person and seating is limited to 125.

Tickets are on sale at the Boys & Girls Club Business Office at 201 Erie Street in Owego between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  The club cannot accept telephone sales.
