Local Employees Win 
Lockheed Martin's Highest Award

 Lockheed Martin Corporation honored 47 employees from its Systems Integration business in Owego, NY, with NOVA Awards, the corporation's highest recognition for significant individual or group achievements. An awards ceremony was held at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. on October 28. 

 The Presidential Helicopter Replacement Program Team, led by Program Executive Pat Dewar, was recognized with a NOVA Award in the teamwork category. Michele Evans, deputy program director, represented the team at the event. The team defeated a 50-year incumbent to win the highly-publicized helicopter competition.

 Presidential Helicopter Replacement Program team members recognized were: Joan Adams, Joe Arduini, Nicholas Babey, Gregory Branning, Michael Brearley, Joseph Cecala, Steven Czarnecki, Gregory Davis, Matthew Decker, Lynne Demetros, Michael Drake, Mike Gartman, Thomas Hall, John Hrustich, Mark McQueeney, Barbara Merritt, Patrick Nally, John Olsen, James Schaefer, Bruce Schermerhorn, Philip Shaw, Jeffrey Streznetcky, Patricia Wiggins, and John Yuhnick.

 The MH-60R Air Weapon Systems Testing Team, led by Program Executive Jeff Bantle, received a NOVA Award in the teamwork category. Chief Engineer Christine Collins represented the honorees at the event. The test team flew the aircraft more than 3,000 hours at five different test ranges, delivering the helicopter to the U.S. Navy for successful operational evaluation in May 2005.

 Those recognized for their contributions to the MH-60R test effort were: Thomas Barnett, George Barton, Katherine Capwell, Richard Cary, Charles Deitchman, Scott Fontaine, Robert Hanson, Richard Holmberg, Robert Kilmer, Shawn Londo, Paul Monseur, Gates Murchie, Daniel Neuberger, Michael Poe, Brendan Rhatigan, Sean Sommer, John Thorner, Gregory Townsend, Brian Werner, and Steven Wilkie.

 A corporatewide team of 25 employees that created a process to assess Lockheed Martin's internal controls over financial reporting as required by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act also received a NOVA Award. Shirley Delmar was a part of this team.
