Bob Liberty Wins Democrat's Chili Cook-Off

 The Tioga County Democratic Committee held its Annual Chili Festival and Silent Auction on November 19 at Tioga Trails Café in Owego. The event was held in a carnival atmosphere, with fortune-telling and quiz games being part of the fun.   
 
The winner of the Chili Cook-off Competition this year was Bob Liberty, who prepared a white chicken chili. Bob took home the rotating trophy from a line-up of nine entries. The Tioga County Democrat's Chili Festival has a broad definition of chili, each entrant being allowed to enter whatever the contestant defines as chili. This year's entries were hailed by the judges as the best ever.
 
The Silent Auction and Chili Festival's purpose is to raise funds for Democratic candidates, and much money was raised while fun was had by all.
