• Santa at the Library
December 10, Saturday, 10-11am 
 Santa will be arriving at the library by fire truck. He would love to see lots of kids and hear what their Christmas wished are. Please come for a visit with Santa, some refreshments, and a special treat from Santa! Mom and Dad, don't forget the camera. The Lion's club will be collecting toys and nonperishable food items that day, too.

• Apalachin Women Writers
December 14, 7 pm
 The ‘Get That Idea and Write' workshop will continue with talking about organizing your writing and finding a place to write. If anyone has writing to share, please bring it along. New members are welcome. 

• Preschool Story Hour
Thursdays, 10 - 11:15 am
 Preschoolers and an adult are welcome come to hear stories and do crafts. Come any week that you are available. 

• Mother-Daughter Book Club
January 9, 2006
 The Mother-Daughter Book Club will resume meeting on January 9, 2006. The club will be reading Becoming Naomi Leon, the new book by Pam Munoz Ryan. Any teen girl and mother (or adult friend) are welcome to join the club for tea and conversation. Call the library to reserve a copy of the book.

• Monday Evening Book Club
January 30, 2006, 7 pm
 The Monday Evening Book Club will not meet in December. At the January meeting, the club will discuss the book More Than You Know by Beth Gutcheon. Call the library to reserve a copy of the book.

• Holiday Hours
 The Apalachin Library will be closed on Saturday, December 24,  Monday, December 26, Saturday, December 31, and Monday, January 2. The library will reopen at 9:30 on Tuesday, January 3, 2006.
