Lions Honor Peace Poster Contest Winners

 The Apalachin Lions Club honored the winners of the 18th Annual Peace Poster Contest (Peace without Borders) sponsored by the Apalachin Lions and Lions International.

 The winners  were Jessica Feldman of Vestal Middle School and Eric Change of Owego Middle School. The students and their parents were guests at the Apalachin Lion's meeting on October 26.

 Jessica and Eric's winning posters will now go on for judging at the Lions district level. If the posters are selected, they will be forwarded to Lions International for judging against entries from more than 150 countries of the world wide Lions organization.

 Lions event chairman Lion Terry White presented each of the winners with a $50 savings bond. He also expressed the Apalachin Lions' appreciation to teachers Sue Anderson from Owego Middle School and Amy Panella from Vestal Middle School for the time and effort they expended on this project.
