Tax-Aide Program Seeks Volunteers

 Income Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) Program is recruiting volunteers for the preparation of Federal and State Income taxes. The TCE program is sponsored by the Broom County Office for the Aging, IRS, and AARP. TCE Program offers free income tax preparation services for low and moderate income taxpayers. 

 Volunteer tax counselors are needed for this 2006 TCE Program. Counselors will be taught income tax preparation and computer operations by IRS-trained AARP Tax-Aide volunteer instructors.

 This six-day training program will begin late November 2005.
