Lions School Program a Success

 Each school year, the Apalachin Lions Club conducts a program which helps needy children to purchase clothing and supplies for school. This program came about when one of the schools became aware that some children were not attending the opening of school because of the embarrassment of not having new clothing.

 This year the Lions Club awarded gift certificates to 65 children in the Apalachin and Little Meadows area. Total cost to the Lions was $4,040. 
 Lion President Fred Brown  would like to thank all those people in the community who so generously support the Lions Club fund raising efforts throughout  the year. Without their help programs like this, which is unique to the area, would not be possible.
