• Preschool Story Hour
Thursdays, 10:30  - 11:15 am
 No registration required. Come any week that you are available. A special story hour about fire prevention will be held on October 13. The Apalachin Fire Department will be at the library with a fire truck.

• Apalachin Women Writers
October 12, Wednesday, 7 pm
 Apalachin Women Writers will be holding the second of their workshops titled "Get That Idea and Write."  Anyone who enjoys writing or writes professionally is invited to come and join the discussion.  The workshop will be held in the meeting room.

• Closed for Columbus Day
 The library will be closed on Monday, October 10, for Columbus Day.

• Monday Evening Book Club
October 24, Monday
 The Monday Evening Book club will meet on October 24 instead of the last Monday of the month which is Halloween. Please call or ask at the desk for a copy of the book.

• Halloween Fun
October 29, Saturday, 10-11 am
 "Halloween Fun" event for preschoolers. There will be stories, crafts, and Halloween games. Children may wear Halloween costumes to the event.  

• Coat Drive
 The Apalachin Library will again be collecting coats for St. Margaret Mary's annual coat drive. Drop off coats that you want to donate any time after October 9.
