 Penney's ‘County Watch' Impresses Reader

 G.L. Penney's  "County Watch" column appearing in the Tioga County Community Press has impressed me so much as to deserve this comment. Thirty- five years ago, I was Tioga County's first Chamber of Commerce executive. We did marvelous things back then, and Lee was part of that winning team, modest, thoughtful, advancing our purpose to make Tioga County a better place to work, live, do business, prosper. All of that happened. Now, look how far we have descended, thanks to bad management and over taxation. In my humble opinion, in this unsolicited testimonial, we need George Lee Penney, as well as Andy Quinlan, to give us new direction, to truly serve the people, to change this mismanaged county so business again can prosper
