Senior Health Fair & Expo - 10 am to 2 pm at Countryside Community Center, 9 Sheldon Guile Blvd., Owego. Info on health topic, door prizes, Tai-Chi demonstration. Picnic-style lunch available.
Depot Friday Night - doors open at 6:00 pm, Music starts at 7:00 pm, Country Music with Nathan Little, Newark Valley Depot, Newark Valley.  Free.

SEPT 10 - SATURDAY
Chicken BBQ - 11:00 am to 3 pm, Vestal Center United Methodist Church, 478 West Hill Rd., Vestal Center.

Motorcycle Ride for Charity - 12 Noon to 3:00 pm, with Chicken BBQ at 3:30 at Courthouse Square in Owego. 85-mile ride benefits Open Door Mission Men's Residence. Registration at 9 am. $12 per rider ($5 additional rider) & includes 
BBQ. Call 687-1121.

Responsible Dog Ownership Day - Hickories Park, Owego. Many free contests including best dressed dog, and owner/dog look-a-like.

Tioga Journeys - Inside B&Bs - 10:00 am to Noon, Bus tour of local B&Bs. Tour starts at Tioga Co. Historical Museum, 110 Front St., Owego. $10. 687-7440 for reservations.

Remembrance Ceremony - 8:30 am, Fireman's Fountain in courthouse square in Owego.

Italian Luncheon - 11:30 to 1 pm, American Civic Association, 131 Front St., Binghamton. $6.50. Call 723-9419 for reservations.

SEPT 17 - SATURDAY
Third Annual Tioga County River Paddle - 7:30 am. Paddlers in canoes & kayaks will launch at Apalachin Boat Ramp, end at Hickories Park in Owego where Gil Hirschel, as "The Riverman," will give a presentation on logging and river commerce in the 1800s. 

Potato Festival - 9:00 am to 4 pm. Breakfast served at 8 am, Lunch of scalloped potatoes & ham at 11:30 am. Quilt Show, food, vendors, demonstrations. At the Grade School, Route 38 & 79, Richford. 

Tioga Journeys - New Winery Tour - 10 am to Noon. Bus tour starts from Tioga Co. Historical Museum, 110 Front St., Owego. 687-7440 for reservations. $10

Soup & Salad Supper - 4:30 to 6:30 pm, First United Methodist Church, 71 Main St., Newark Valley. Homemade soups, salad bar, dessert table. Free will offering.

Little Meadows Fire Co. 50th Anniversary - 12 Noon to 6 pm, starts with parade from Bowbridge Rd. to St. Thomas Church Hall, Karaoke from 2 to 6 pm. Silent Auction, Food, Games, Fun. At St. Thomas Church Hall, Little Meadows, PA

Irish Festival - 12:30 to 7:30 pm. Mass at 11 am. St. Francis Xavier Church, Friendsville, PA. Features The Irish Lads and The Stoutmen. Food, Games, Prizes, Irish store. Homemade Pies. Great Family Fun. $6.
