Groundbreaking for Tioga Downs - Ground was officially broken on July 22 at the Tioga Downs site in Nichols for a major sporting and entertainment complex. A steam shovel demolished the old Tioga Park grandstand and offices. Tioga Downs is scheduled to open Spring 2006 – just 30 years after Tioga Park opened in 1976.
