• Hats Off to Volunteers 
 Thank You, volunteers, for your services during the regular 2005 season  from Owego Little League President Steve Gregory, and during July for the two Invitational Tournaments from 10th Anniversary Director Ken Winters. 
 Special thanks to volunteer tournament and regular season umpires Ben Dragon, Steve Gregory, Tom Marzo, Jim Medovich, Dan Miller, Greg Poffenbarger, Mike Slavetskas, Ed Walter, Ken Winters, Ray Scheuerman, Tony Caprari and Anthony Quaranta and regular season umpires Harry Bean, Steve Duvarney, John Loftus, James Thompson and Jim Wieckhurst. 

 Hats Off to the Concession Stand team of Manager Diane Gregory, Kristen Barton, Suzanne Peacock and Dick Franz and their attendants. A tip of the hat to the grounds team of Ken Winters and Scott Strife and their volunteers. Thanks, too, to all who pitched in on other tasks. 

 Volunteers, sponsors and community support -  they were keys to another successful year. We do it for the kids!

• Sponsor Plaques
 Picture Day Coordinator Joe Fuller says team plaques for team sponsors of Little League Baseball, Girls Softball, Tee Ball and Teener Baseball were delivered with personal Thank You's for Your Support.

• 55-Year History
 A 55-Year History of Owego Little League needs your memorable moments written "In Your Own Words." E-mail to Public Relations Director Jim Raftis at jraftis2@stny.rr.com.  

• 12U Tournament 
 Eleven teams played from July 25 to August 3. "A" teams were Northern Tioga, Vestal, West Corners. Johnson City, Ithaca and Owego. "B" teams were Endicott, Owego, Ithaca and two Vestal teams.

• 10U Tournament
 In the "A" Division, Champion Endicott beat Johnson City. Leader Endwell Gold withdrew to host its own tournament. 

 In the "B" Division, Champion Endwell B defeated Vestal A/C. Johnson City was third and Owego fourth.

 Each player and manager/coach from Endicott, Johnson City, Endwell and Vestal received a trophy.

 Visiting managers saluted Director Winters and assistant Debbie Schmidt for their well run tournament, excellent fields, Owego hospitality, concession stand, and 50-50.

• Teener Baseball 
 Owego Kiwanis lost 3-to-1 to Endwell in a Southern Tier Teener League Age 13-14 consolation game at Binghamton Met Stadium. Kiwanis ended 8-and-7. 

• Alumni News
 Notre Dame University May 2005 Masters Graduate and former OLL Vice President-Baseball Andrew Goodrich has accepted a position with the University of Southern Florida in Tampa as an Assistant Business Manager. Best wishes, Andy, from OLL. 

• Remembering "Chief"
 1972 Owego Little League Vice President Forrest "Chief" Kallan is remembered by 1972 President Barry Macalady of Littleton, Colorado, as the co-founder of the Owego Girls Softball League. Kallan died June 19. Macalady recalled 20 girls were on each of the first 10 teams. Softball managers were recruited parents. OLL thanks "Chief" for his volunteerism.
