Kids' Night Out - 7 to 8pm, "Singalongfor Kids of All Ages" with John Simon, at courthouse gazebo (Court & Park Sts.) Owego. Free.

JULY 9 - SATURDAY
Cars in the Park Car Show - 8 am to 11 pm, Hickories Park. Flea Market, Sock Hop. $2 per person, $5 per car. Continues on July 10.

Cars in the Park Car Show - 8 am to 3 pm, Hickories Park. Flea Market,  $2 per person, $5 per car.

Chicken BBQ - 11 am till gone, the Flemingville Methodist Church, West Creek Road, Owego. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

Glenn H. Curtiss Flyers Meeting - 12 Noon lunch at Tomasso's Restaurant (Dutch treat). Speaker is G. L. Penney. Details of A-bomb launch from Tinian Island. Everyone welcome.

Antique Engines & Tractor Show - Kirby Park, Nichols. Continues through July 17.
Kids' Night Out - 7 to 8pm, "Juggler Extraordinair" Will Stafford, at courthouse gazebo in Owego. Free.

Gigantic Yard Sale - 8 am to 4 pm, Masonic Lodge, Main St., Nichols. Benefits community projects.

Blueberry Festival - Kirby Park, Nichols. Part of Blueberry Community Days. Lots of food, raffles. Parade at 11 am. Free Parking. Free Admission.

Kids' Fest - 11 am to 3 pm, Open Door Mission, 425 North Ave., Owego. Bike Raffle, Haircuts, Food, Face Painting, Bounce House, Clowns and more.

Ralley in the Valley - Poor Shot Bar and Restaurant, Poker run at Noon, return by 4 pm for a chicken dinner. Live band in the evening. Prizes, Raffles. Benefits local child/family.

Relay for Life - begins at 6 pm, concludes 12 Noon on Saturday, July 23. Owego Free Academy, 1 Sheldon Guild Blve. Overnight event to support fight against cancer.

Summer Swimming Hole Bike Ride - 8 am at Eckerds in Owego,  ride to Candor for lunch, then ride to Brooktondale for a swim under the waterfalls.

Exotic Farm Bus Tour - 10 am to Noon, meet at Tioga Co. Historical Museum, 110 Front St., Owego. $10. 687-7440 to register. 

Walk Thru Time - 10 am to 4 pm, Hiawatha Island near Marshland Rd in Apalachin. Take shuttle to the island to see demonstrations from other eras. Sponsored by Waterman Conservation Center. $8 members,  $15 non-members, children 6 - 12 half price, children 5 & younger free.

Christmas in July - 7 pm at Tioga Co. Historical Museum, 110 Front Stree, Owego. Chris Kuhlman of Tioga Gardens will demonstrate tricks of the trade in decorating a tree for the holidays.

"Ice Cream Social & Book Sale - 6:30 pm, includes summer concert. Sponsored by the Apalachin Library, at the Apalachin Field Day Grounds. Ice cream still only $1.50 and books are 50 cents and less."
