Joe Murphy Chosen Lion of the Year
Joe Murphy (right) was chosen the Apalachin Lions Club "Lion of the Year" for 2004-05. The award was presented to Murphy at the Lions Installation Dinner held June 18 at the Owego Treadway Inn and Conference Center. Lion Murphy, who joined the club in 2001, was recognized for his outstanding effort as club secretary, and for his leadership on the annual Father's Day Chicken Bar-B-Que, which is a significant yearly fund raiser for the club.
