Lions Install 50th President
- Lion Fred Brown, Jr. (right) was installed as president of the Apalachin Lions Club at a dinner dance held on June 18 at the Owego Treadway Inn and Conference Center. Lion Brown will lead the club in celebrating 50 years of service to the Apalachin and Little Meadows communities.
Other officers installed for the 2005-2006 Lions year are: Past President Gerry Strazik (above, left); Vice Presidents Gabe DeSantis, Lee Blood, and Don Castellucci, Jr; Secretary: Gary Iacovazzi; Treasurer: Charles Waughtel; Tail Twister: Tom Kelley; Lion Tamer: Dan Drewry; Directors: John Crosby, Stan Jablonski, Chuck Meassick, Terry White, Joe Murphy, and Pete Premock; and Membership Director: John Sobotka. The new officers assumed their duties on July 1, 2005.
