The 5th annual "Picture This!" Photo Contest, sponsored by the Tioga
County Tourism Office, has officially begun. The deadline for submitting photos for the 2006 Tioga County Visitor's Guide is 5:00 pm, September 30, 2005.
 First prize for the winning photo is $150, $75 for second, and $50 for third place. The winning photos will be included in the new visitor's guide, and additional brochure pieces, for which preparation will begin this fall.

 Last year, some photos that were not winners were also used in the visitor's guide and calendar of events brochure, as well as for the photo calendar, the Finger Lakes Travel Guide and other publications.

 Specifically of special interest to the Tourism Office are photos in Tioga County of any outdoor activity, such as people having fun on the river, creeks, fly-fishing, shopping, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, racing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, camping, festivals, porch-sitting, historic homes, golfing, biking, hiking, and people having a good time.
