Robert  "Beau" Bassett is named the Parade Marshall for the 25th Annual Strawberry Festival Parade that is held at 10:00 am in downtown Owego on June 18. The Strawberry Festival is from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm the same day.

 Beau has dedicated his life to youth leadership all over the country. Since 1997 he has been a national trainer in the Prudential Youth Leadership Institute Points of Light Foundation. For the past 10 years he has been the volunteer president of the Charles H. Bassett Youth Foundation, a public youth foundation based in Tioga County NY which honors his Father Charles H. Bassett and Grandfather Robert V.R. Bassett. This foundation grants monies to many youth orientated groups in Tioga County.
