The Tioga County Democratic Committee held its Spring Dinner last month at the Shepard Hills Country Club in Waverly. Present was New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, who endorsed the candidacies of Dan Sniezek and Mark Trabucco for Tioga County Legislature. Mr. Trabucco's race is a reelection bid and he will be serving his second term if reelected.

 Mr. Spitzer spoke about the Tioga County Democratic Committee's Military Care Package program praising its goals and accomplishments. The program sends support packages to American military members overseas. These packages are sent regardless of political affiliation, and anyone may ask to have these packages sent for free to their service member overseas.  The committee also honored Democratic veterans of Tioga County, during the dinner, awarding each one of them framed certificates of appreciation. 

 The keynote speaker at the dinner was Denise O'Donnell, a former US Attorney for Western New York and a candidate for the Attorney General seat to be left open by Eliot Spitzer in 2006. Spitzer is running for Governor of New York in 2006.
