Owego Little League Signups

 "Get in the game!" says Owego Little League Player Agent Kristin Barton as she issues a call for player candidates who live within the Owego-Apalachin School District. . 

 Barton says a pre-2005 season must is player registration for Owego Little League (OLL) Tee Ball and Baseball for boys and girls 5 to 12 and ASA Girls Softball for girls 8 to 13.

 There are two signup Saturdays, February 19 and 26, from 10:00 am  to 2:00 pm at the Tioga County Boys and Girls Club, 201 Erie Street, Owego.
 Since its founding in 1952, Owego Little League President Steve Gregory proudly says there are no signup fees. Gregory reminds parents to volunteer their services anytime.

 Age eligibility for Little League Tee Ball and Baseball: Must turn 5 before August 1; may not turn 13 before August 1; must reside within the Owego-Apalachin School District. 

 Age eligibility for ASA Girls Softball: Must turn 8 before January 1; may not turn 13 before January 1, 2006. Preference given to residents to Owego-Apalachin School District.  

 Player Agent Barton emphasizes on OLL signup Saturdays at the Boys/Girls Club all players must register and have at least one parent or legal guardian with them.

 Only those signing up for the first time need proof of residence and an original or state certified copy of the child's birth certificate and returned after inspection.

 All registrants will receive is a copy of the Owego Little League schedule of spring events including indoor clinics on Saturday, March 12 and 19.
