The Master Gardener Program of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County is offering four gardening classes to help you get an early start on your garden this year. Deer Proofing Your Garden, February 17, 6:30 pm, - best ways to keep deer from destroying your garden and what deer resistant plants you can plant. Cost $2.00. Starting Seeds Indoors, February 24, 6:30 pm, - how to start plants early from seeds to get a jump on the gardening season. Cost $2.00. Vegetable Gardening - the Basics and Beyond, March 9, 6:00 pm - taught by Master Gardener Barry Davis, who will share his years of vegetable gardening experience. This class is for the novice to the advanced gardener. Cost $2.00. Create Your Own Stepping Stone, April 19, 6:00 pm, how to make a mosaic stepping stone. You'll take home the finished product. Bring gloves, a box to take your project home in, stones, tiles, marbles, shells or any other treasures to make your mosaic pattern. Cost $15.00. All classes will be held in rooms 107-108 at 56 Main Street in Owego.
